Japanese cotton gabardine, reversible to water-resistant nylon.
I wanted to design a coat for the changing conditions of winter. That ties into the modularity behind the fall/winter collection, with pieces that can be worn in more than one way.
The camel side is Japanese cotton gabardine, a fabric used in trench coats for over a hundred years. Flip it and you have navy nylon for wet days. Reversing it changes the look of the coat too, so I made sure both sides work properly, with the collar lying flat and the buttons fastening either way.
