Double-Breasted Wool Jacket (Super 140s)

There is enough Super 140s cloth for 30 jackets. Each one is individually numbered and made to order: cut and tailored in your size. Allow 7-8 weeks from order to delivery.

A double-breasted jacket in a 100% wool worsted, fine Super 140s. Worsted yarn is combed straight before spinning, which gives the cloth a smooth, tightly grained surface, and makes it hard-wearing and crease-resistant. The cut takes after vintage tailoring: a fuller chest, a lower button stance, and a slightly longer line than most current double-breasted jackets. The jacket is half-canvassed: a floating canvas layer through the chest and lapel, stitched in rather than fused. The canvas moulds to the wearer over time. The lapel and pockets are pick-stitched.

Super 140s refers to the fineness of the wool fibre, graded on the internationally recognized Super S scale. This sits firmly in fine-wool territory, which is what gives the cloth its smooth hand and clean drape.

Sizing

• Please consult the embedded size chart. I would recommend you take your usual size in outerwear for a clean, relaxed fit. 
  
• Between two sizes? Size down. The shoulder runs generous by design, and a double-breasted looks best when the shoulder sits at, or just past, your natural line.
